Here I bring together the areas I work in and the way of working that guides my practice.
How I work
I advise clients in Brazil and abroad, often on cross-border matters, and work in both Portuguese and English. I begin with the facts, the documents, and the client's objectives. Before proposing a course of action, I work to understand the economic context of the matter, the legal risks involved, the time available, and the alternatives. I see legal practice as a partnership for setting priorities and making decisions with clarity.
My practice and my academic research inform each other. That combination helps me distinguish useful argument from rhetorical flourish, real risk from noise, and sound strategy from improvisation.
Practice areas
The list does not turn legal practice into a catalog. It organizes the matters that appear most often in the cases I handle.
I structure contracts, review risks, and prepare legal opinions for decisions that require technical grounding and practical clarity.
I work on the prevention and handling of damages disputes, with attention to evidence, causation, and economic impact.
I advise on disputes among shareholders, management duties, investor exits, and protecting the company at sensitive moments.
I work on real estate transactions, property regularization, and disputes related to construction, purchase, sale, and use of assets.
I design wealth strategies that bring together contracts, family, succession, tax efficiency, and governance.
I handle court and arbitration disputes, including cross-border and international arbitration, working across pleadings, memorials, appeals, oral arguments, and evidentiary strategy.
I conduct negotiations when a consensual solution can preserve value, time, and relationships.
I advise on matters involving Brazil's data protection law (LGPD), innovation, artificial intelligence, contracts, and liability in digital environments.
Method
I examine the facts, documents, people involved, and economic incentives that shape the dispute.
Based on the material reviewed, I assess timing, cost, exposure, possible angles, and alternatives.
Together with the client, I build a workable path, with clear objectives and room to adjust as the case unfolds.
I deliver what was agreed with attention to detail and adapt the direction to the contingencies of the case.
