Counsel in arbitrations
I represent parties in arbitral proceedings. I also prepare legal opinions and handle arbitration-related matters before the courts.
Arbitration
I have experience in arbitration as counsel, arbitrator, and presiding arbitrator. I help advance the practice and culture of arbitration in Brazil.
Practice
My history with arbitration began in São Paulo more than ten years ago, during my doctoral studies at USP. Since then, I have worked to promote this means of dispute resolution. I was among those who encouraged and coached the first teams from Bahia to compete in moot courts. I am also active in professional associations and in the Bar (OAB) to advance arbitration.
I see the relationship between substantive law and procedural law as circular. That is why, after graduating, I earned a master's degree in Civil Procedure at UFBA. Although my later studies focused on substantive law, I kept my reverence for procedure. In arbitration, this perspective leads me to safeguard the proper conduct of the proceedings and the validity of the awards.

I have experience as an arbitrator and as a presiding arbitrator. I am a listed arbitrator with CCMA-ACB and CAMAGRO.
I work to promote best practices in arbitration as Vice President of the Special Arbitration Committee of the Bahia Bar Association (OAB/BA) and as a member of the IArB.
Bahia Arbitration Institute
The IArB, Instituto de Arbitragem da Bahia, is a nonprofit association that promotes arbitration as an appropriate means of dispute resolution. It was founded in 2020 through the joint efforts of a number of professionals. I was one of its founders and currently serve as its Director of Events. Within the institute, I take part in initiatives that bring arbitration closer to the business community, the legal profession, academia, and the public administration. We maintain an ongoing dialogue with various arbitral chambers and institutions, seeking events and opportunities for students and professionals in Bahia.

Institutions and training
My arbitration practice is in dialogue with research and teaching. I coach students in arbitration competitions, especially CAMARB, CAMAGRO, and the Vis Moot. I regularly make myself available to discuss the contested points of the competition problems with the teams.
